Website Evaluation

This is my evaluation of the redesigned St. Peter's School website.

On the first page I inserted a screenshot of the front page of the site, and using coloured boxes I explained what each element of the page is. This carried on to the second page where I expanded on what I had written before, but I then explained why I had chosen where to put each element and why they were that colour, size, etc.

On the third page I put screenshots of three main pages of the site, and what the layout of the page is and what each main element is.

Other School Website Analysis

In this task, I have visited a two local secondary school's websites and analysed their strengths and weaknesses.

The first school I did was Kings High School, and I inserted a large screenshot of the front page of the site and analysed the page.

The second school I did was Bournemouth School, and I also inserted a large screenshot of the front page of the site and analysed it.

Design Brief: To redesign a school website, and include a CMS (content management system) to ease updating by staff.

It is mainly a three column layout so there is space for navigation, content and a slideshow.

Cornwall Video Design Decisions

In this task, I wrote about the design decisions I took for the Cornwall video.

I wrote about the titles, transitions and credits and why I chose what I chose for them.

Cornwall Video

In this task, I made a short film of the 2009 Art trip to Cornwall.

When we went on the trip, I took the school's video camera and my own digital camera along with me to record the interesting and exciting parts of the trip and journey. Using these clips and photos, I made a short film.

To make the film, I used Adobe Premiere for the video and Photoshop to create the titles and credits. The finished film is below.
